Actiontec GT-701wg Routed Bridging Configuration

These configuration instructions will guide you through configuring your Actiontec modem in Routed Bridging mode. You must set up the Actiontec modem before entering any information sent by our DSL department into your computer.

1. Follow the instructions provided with your Actiontec modem to connect your Actiontec modem to your computer and DSL line.
   Your computer should be configured to obtain an IP address automatically from the Actiontec modem. If you are using a Macintosh, select to Configure Using: DHCP Server.
2. Open a web browser and enter 192.168.0.1 in the Address Bar. You should see the following screen:

• Note: If you do not see this screen, first check your cables to make sure you have a solid Ethernet light on the Actiontec modem, then reboot your computer and try accessing the Actiontec modem again.
3. Click on Setup / Configuration.
4. Now you should see the Setup / Configuration screen.

5. We're going to skip the Basic Setup, so just click on Advanced Setup on the left.
6. There really isn't anything to do on this page except to click on Begin Advanced Setup.

7. On this screen, click on Next.

8. On the Wan IP Address screen, select Specify a Static IP Address.

9. Hit Next.

10. On this screen, enter the static IP address, gateway address, and subnet mask provided by our DSL department.
11. Click on DHCP Server on the left.

12. You don't need to do anything on this screen, so hit Next.

13. On this screen, select Static next to DNS.
14. Enter 216.99.193.19 in the DNS Server 1 box.
15. Enter 216.99.193.2 in the DNS Server 2 box.
16. Now, click on Save and Restart in the lower left corner of the screen.

17. Hit the big Save and Restart button.
18. Once the Power light on the modem stops blinking, you're done. You do not need to specify a static IP address on any of your computers, as each computer will be assigned an IP address by the Actiontec modem.
