These are the instructions for setting up the mail program Mozilla Thunderbird for use with SpiritOne.
- When you first start Thunderbird, you will be prompted to create a new account. If so, skip the next two steps. If you are not prompted to create a new account, click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.
- In the Account Settings window, hit the Add Account button.
- Select Email account and hit Next.
- Type your name in the Your Name box.
- Type your email address in the Email Address box.
- Hit Next.
- In both the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server boxes, type the mail server names from the sidebar on the right.
- Make sure the type of incoming server is set to POP.
- Hit Next.
- Enter your SpiritOne username in the Incoming User Name box.
- Hit Next.
- Enter a name for this account in the Account Name box. The name is completely up to you.
- Hit Next.
- Use this screen to double-check your settings. If you see you've made a mistake, hit the Back button to correct the error. Once you've done that, click on Finish.
- Hit Finish.
- That's it! You can now use Thunderbird to send and receive your SpiritOne email. Thunderbird will prompt you for your password the first time you check your email.
