These configuration instructions will guide you through configuring Windows XP to connect to SpiritOne using a modem.
- From the Start menu, choose Control Panel.
- Click the Network and Internet Connections icon.

- Click on Set up or change your Internet Connection.
- Click the Setup Button.

- Click on Next.

- Select Connect to the Internet and click Next.

- Select Set up my connection manually and click on Next.

- Select Connect using a dial-up modem and click Next.

- In the ISP Name field, type SpiritOne.

- In the Phone Number field, type the correct phone number for your area code and city, found at the top of this page.

- Click Next.
- In the Username field, type your entire SpiritOne or Aracnet email address
in all lower-case letters. - In the Password field, type your SpiritOne password.
- Enter your password again in the Confirm password field.

- Click on Next.
- If you so desire, you can check the box next to Add a shortcut to this connection on my desktop, but it is not necessary.

- Now, in the Control Panel, click on Network Connections.

- Right-Click on the SpiritOne connection and select Properties.

- Click on the Networking tab.

- Click on the Settings button.

- Take the checkmark out of Enable Software Compression and
Negotiate multi-link for single link connections. - Click on OK.
- Click on OK again.
- You're Done! To connect to SpiritOne, all you need to do is launch any Internet application.
