Economy Domain Hosting and the Spam Filters

Email aliases for domains hosted using our Economy Hosting service fall under one of two categories as far as the Red Condor is concerned:

  • On-site aliases: These aliases have a destination mailbox with an address of @spiritone.com or @aracnet.com. Spam sent to those aliases will be included in the Daily Digest (and Quarantine) of the destination address. So, if the email address joebob@domainname.com forwards to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , spam sent to the joebob@domainname.com address will appear in the Daily Digest and quarantine for joebob@spiritone.com.

  • Off-site aliases: Any alias pointing to an address other than a @spiritone.com or @aracnet.com address. These messages are handled by the domain owner (i.e., the primary account used to host the domain). Spam caught by the filters will appear in the domain owner's Daily Digest and in the domain owner's quarantine.
