Our economy web server supports CGI, PERL, and PHP4. Our web server does not support ASP, .NET, or Cold Fusion.
PHP requires no special configurations. A special directory for PERL or CGI scripts is required to use either. You can request a CGI directory by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Uploading your web pages
All web page files should be uploaded into the public_html directory.
Web files uploaded for personal web pages can be found at http://www.spiritone.com/~{yourusername}.
If no index.html file is present in your public_html directory, you will receive an "Access Forbidden" error message until a file named index.html (or index.htm, or index.php, etc...) is uploaded to your public_html directory.
The command-line FTP client included in Windows will not work with our FTP server. Unix command line FTP should work normally.
